The state of Montana is home to many famous photographers. Most of these photographers are based in the state and work there full-time. Adam Forsyth
The photographs of Adam Forsyth are often difficult to find in the Montana history collections. Forsyth, born in New York state in 1869, was a famous Montana photographer during the stereoview era. He worked out of studios in Butte from the late 1880s to the early 1940s. His boxed sets often featured thirty or more photographs with thin lines dividing each one. David Yarrow
